How Daily Picks work
No endless swiping: each day you get a small set of picks based on your preferences. Here's how Daily Picks work, from Pop or Keep to matching and chatting.

A few picks a day, not an endless feed
Pop The Balloon is built around Daily Picks: a small set of people to look at each day, instead of a feed you can swipe through forever. The idea is inspired by the show Pop the Balloon or Find Love, where everyone gets a proper look before anyone decides.
How many picks you get
- Free: 10 picks a day
- Golden: 15 picks a day
- Platinum: 20 picks a day
A fresh set arrives every day. You can also buy extra picks in the app, and they're added to that day's picks straight away.
Who shows up in your picks
Your picks come from people who fit the dating preferences you set, such as who you're interested in, age range and distance. You can change your preferences at any time from the Daily Picks screen. We also spread picks around, so the same few profiles aren't shown to everyone.
Getting to know each pick
Each pick is more than a photo. Tap through their photos and profile cards to see their bio, a "Get to Know Me" section (things like kids, faith, height and whether they'd move), what they look for in a partner and their deal-breakers. Some people also add a short intro video.
Pop or Keep
- Pop (the red cross) if they're not for you. Pops are private: nobody is told you popped them.
- Keep (the purple balloon) if you're interested. You'll choose a reason or write your own, and they'll see why you kept them.
- Golden Balloon (the gold balloon) if you don't want to miss them. It matches you straight away, so you can start chatting before they've kept you.
Changed your mind after a pop? Golden and Platinum members can rewind it, and Golden includes 5 rewinds a day.
Matching and chatting
When two people keep each other, it's a match and you can start chatting. Matches only happen between people who chose each other, or when someone sends a Golden Balloon, so every conversation starts with real interest.
Why fewer picks work better
- You give each person a proper look. With a handful of picks, there's time to read a profile instead of judging a single photo.
- Your choices mean more. A keep is a decision, not a reflex, and the reason you give makes that clear.
- Less burnout. When the day's picks are done, you're done. There's no feed to keep scrolling.
Getting started
